Her name is the embodiment of enigmatic life.
"Old Dog" is kinda like the Unknown Soldier who won a medal of honor, or an anonymous super hero whose only purpose was a selfless mission to save lives solely for its own sake, to humbly shun recognition and accolade to pursue a divine calling unknown to her in early years. I can only imagine (as I do not know in fact her life's story) "Old Dog" was a drifter passed on from home to home, perhaps untenable, of bad disposition or habit, frustrated with life, haunted by a yearning, a distant calling she heard and followed until one day this nameless, kind hearted gentle old lab found her way to the front door of a vet clinic in a remote village in Wyoming. She had finally found her home, the place of the voice, the calling, the place of her purpose her connection and belonging. "Old Dog" The selfless blood donor who has quietly with no fanfare saved life and given life to countless canine counterparts, and I ask what greater calling than this, what better life could be lived!
Today we honor you, humbly, "Old Dog"
